Find the light
within you.
A safe, creative space to explore, express and grow through Sandplay, art and imagination.
There is light within
every story.
Where the same room blooms into colour: a rainbow path, drifting hearts, and a little more wonder.
A dark stone chamber where a doorway fills with warm golden light, stars scattered across the night sky within.

Everyone arrives for a different reason. Choose the space that feels right for you, or reach out and we will help you find it.

What actually happens
A session, gently explained
If you are not quite sure what to expect, that is completely normal. Here is what a first visit usually feels like.
- 01 You arrive as you are No preparation, no artistic ability, nothing to get right. Just a calm, private room and a warm welcome.
- 02 You choose your medium Sand and symbols, paint, clay or drawing. You are invited, never instructed, to follow what feels true.
- 03 You explore at your pace The work speaks for you when words are hard. Maryke holds a safe, unhurried space while you create.
- 04 You leave a little lighter Nothing is analysed or judged. What surfaces is yours, and it stays with you.
Words we hold close
Little truths for the journey
Sometimes it just takes a little space to find it.

Inside the studio
A warm, unhurried space to create
Real materials, real mess, real room to breathe. Sand and symbols, paint and pastel, clay and colour.

The person behind the practice
Meet Maryke
Maryke van Rensburg is a creative arts practitioner and Jungian Sandplay facilitator. She holds a calm, non-judgemental space where children, teenagers and adults can explore, express and reconnect with themselves through art and play.
Her training spans applied design, regression therapy, Jungian Sandplay, yoga and sensorimotor expressive arts, and she volunteers with creative-arts collectives and works with children at a special-needs centre.
We are the artists of our own journey.Read Maryke’s full story
Get in touch
Reach out, gently
The easiest first step is a message or a call. If you are enquiring for a child, there is no need to explain everything now, we will talk properly when we are in touch.
